Your bill is nobody else's business.

Last updated 9 October 2026 · Applies to the ScreenBill Android app (package com.studiomono.billed), published by Studio Mono.

The short version

  • ScreenBill has no accounts. We do not know who you are.
  • Your usage data stays on your phone. We do not upload it, sync it, or sell it.
  • There are no ads and no analytics or tracking SDKs in the app.
  • One optional feature, the AI roast, sends a few numbers from your bill to our server for a moment. It is off by default, and nothing is stored.

What the app reads on your phone

ScreenBill asks for usage access (the PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS permission). With it, the app reads Android's app usage timers: which apps were in the foreground and when the screen was unlocked. This is the same data the Digital Wellbeing feature uses. From it, the app computes your daily total, per-app time, pickups, first pickup and after-midnight time. It never sees what you do inside an app, your messages, or your browsing.

All of this is stored in a database on your device only. Deleting the app deletes it.

Other permissions the app may ask for, and why:

  • Notifications: to post the once-a-day "Your bill is ready" notification and the optional morning summary.
  • Do Not Disturb access: Goodnight mode turns Priority Do Not Disturb on for the night and off at your wake time. Nothing is read from your notifications.
  • Run at startup: to re-arm the bill-time alarm after a reboot.
  • Storage (Android 9 only): to save a shared bill or certificate image to your Pictures folder when you ask.

Sharing a bill

When you tap Share, the app renders the bill as an image and hands it to the app you choose. Nothing leaves your phone unless you send it. The "hide private apps" option removes dating, finance and health apps, and any apps you mark, from the shared image.

The AI roast (optional, off by default)

If you buy ScreenBill Pro and switch on the AI roast, once a day at bill time (and when you tap re-roast) the app sends these values to a server run by us on Cloudflare: the date, your total screen time, your slab, pickup count, first pickup time, after-midnight time, the name of your top app and its time, and your chosen roast style. The server forwards them to Google's Gemini API to write one roast line and one suggestion, and returns them to your phone.

Our server does not log request contents and stores nothing. The request carries no account, name, device identifier or advertising ID. Google processes the request under its Gemini API terms. If the request fails or you switch the feature off, the app uses its built-in roast templates instead.

Purchases

Pro subscriptions, the lifetime unlock and bill skins are sold through Google Play. Google handles payment and we never see your payment details. To confirm a purchase is genuine, the app may send the purchase token Google gave it to our server, which checks it with the Google Play Developer API and returns the result. We do not store purchase tokens or build a record of your purchases; your phone keeps its own entitlement cache.

What we do not do

  • No accounts, sign-in or email collection.
  • No advertising, ad SDKs or advertising identifiers.
  • No analytics, crash reporting or tracking SDKs.
  • No selling, renting or sharing of personal data with anyone.

Children

ScreenBill is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
